Amil Parrilla is a Boston-based SFX makeup artist specializing in story-driven work for film and theatre. With a passion for visual storytelling, Amil creates makeup effects that enhance character, atmosphere, and emotional impact on screen and stage. Her work ranges from subtle, detail-oriented character enhancements to complex trauma and special effects makeup, always with a focus on realism, texture, and narrative authenticity. Whether building tension through understated details or crafting bold, visceral effects, Amil approaches each project with creativity, precision, and a deep respect for the story being told. Currently, Amil is focused on collaborating with directors, filmmakers, and fellow artists in the Boston area, contributing to projects that challenge creative boundaries and bring compelling visions to life.
